Crime and Punishment

invisionfree.com 2013

1. Should the death penalty exist as a punishment for murder or terrorism?

No, because most of the murders behave correctly after going to jail so it is unfair to kill them. For another reason is that everybody make mistakes so i am against this idea.

2. Should the main purpose of prison be punishment or rehabilitation?

I think that the main purpose of prison is punishing criminals because if we let them without punishing they will do it again.

3. What is the best way to deal with juvenile crime such as:

- Joy-riding : I think that they should take their license for one year to drive good in the road and behave well.
- Vandalism : I think that they should put them in the jail and let them pay fine for the damages.
- Graffiti : I think that they also need to pay money for the police for the drawings they did and give them small punishing.

4. Is it ever right for political activities to break the law?

No, because if the man how represent the law will break it what about people. They will act like him and break the law so nobody will respect the law.

5. How strict should the law be with people who drink and drive?

They should increase the fine for those people to avoid drinking while driving because it is really dangerous to the person him self and the public which might cause many accidents and deaths.

6. Which is the more serious problem in your country - tax evasion or social security fraud?

In my country we do not pay for tax evasion or even for social security fraud. But here in the UK the more serious problem is the social security fraud because it accumulate and thin it will be expansive. On the other hand, the tax evasion is expansive but you can control your purchases.

7. Should the police have the right to stop and search you in the street without a warrant?

No, because they should give a good reason or a warrant from the government to search you and to be honest with all people.

8. Should the law respect the rights of homeless people to squat in unoccupied property shop doorways?

No, they should take care of them by supporting them and avoid this view because in some cases it gives the tourist bad impression about the country and the government.

9. Should smoking cannabis be a criminal offence?

Yes, because in most religion it is illegal and it is also harmful to people which can cause illnesses. According to a Research carried out by King's College London (2007) has indicated that "25 per cent of young offenders in Sheffield have turned to crime to find their habit"
