elifestudentblog.blogspot.co.uk 2010

My definition: It is a groub of people live in one place that have their own ideas and thinking in certain things. For example, eating specific kind of food, wearing the same traditional clouths depending on the country. Also, every country have their own culture and it differ than others.
CARLA's defenetion: In my opinion, I completly agree with this definition because it shows how I become Qatari. Such as when I was young I grow up by learning Arabic culture specialy Qatari culture. Moreover, I grow up in Qatari area and between my parent that teach me how to act as a Qatari person and think like him. Finaly, I think Qatari culture is unique because it contain many good things.

Sport

roundwoodpark.co.uk 2012

1. Which is more important in sport-winning or taking part? Are you a good loser?

In my opinion, taking part in sport is more important because we are playing sport to have fun and enjoy our time more than thinking to win the match. However, winning a competition will show the people that you are a good player but you might lose or win. Only one team can win not everybody.

2. should we always try to keep politics out of sport?

Yes, because sport is only a game that people enjoy watching it and this may cause many problem between two team or sometime between to country such as fighting.

3. What are the most important events in the sporting calendar in your country? Which of these events do you enjoy most?

The most important event in my country Qatar is Football. My hobby is playing football and i joined Qatar National team when i was 11 years old. I like to play football because my father was famous player in Qatar.

4. In Britain, the big event include the boat race, the Grand National & the derby (horse races). The five nations (rugby) the FA cup final (football). the test match (cricket) Wimbledon (tennis). Which of these would you like to see? why?

I would like to see FA (football) because my favorite team in Uk is Chelsea and my best player in this team is Drogba. many people in the UK like to watch football matches and attending in the stadium  because it is an interesting sport.

5. Is it easy to take part in sport in your country? Which sport do you do and how often do you take part?

Yes, because some of Qatari people are talented not all of them. You can show your performance and take part easily. Moreover, our population is not big as the UK so we can take part in any sport. I often play football as i mansion before and i take part in all matches.

6. Who are your sporting heroes and heroines? Why do you admire them?

My sporting hero is Loinal Messi Barcelona player. According to DW website (2013) "Barcelona and Argentina star Loinel Messi has been named world football of the year for the fourth time in a row, marking another unprecedented achievement. Messi won the Ballon d'Or in 2011 and 2010, and in 2009 he was named FIFA's World Player of the Year - the previous incarnation of the award".

7. Should the Olympic Games be held only in Greece or should they change between different countries? Where would you like to see them held next time?

They should change every time between all countries to held the Olympic Games to encourage all teams to win. Also, help the people who are interesting to watch it without traveling to another country to attend. I want to see the Olympic Games held in the UK next time.

8. Do you think that boxing is a true sport? Should it be included in  the Olympic Games? Should it be made illegal?

No it is not a sport because most of the player got strong injured that may cause death some time. It should not be included in the Olympic Games also to avoid this injures and it should considered as illegal sport.

9. Which is your favorite sport to watch and what do you think are the qualities of a good team or a true champion in that sport?

My favorite sport to watch is football and the most important qualities to be a successful team is the team work and practice very well before any match even if the match with bad team.
